Sally Cox
Chief Executive Officer
Sally Cox serves as CEO of the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges, overseeing all operations and strategic initiatives to support student success across East County.
Sally was honored with the Leadership East County award by the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce for demonstrating community leadership that resulted in a substantial positive impact. Under her leadership, the Foundation distributes more than $565,000 in scholarships each year and recently reached its $4 million endowment goal for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Promise Plus Scholarship program.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Sally brought extensive nonprofit leadership experience from roles at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, San Diego County Crime Stoppers, New Alternatives, and Father Joe’s Villages. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from UC Santa Cruz.
Dana Rivers
Director of Development
Dana Rivers grew up in Canada and moved to San Diego in the mid-1980s. She is a long-time resident of East County and a proud Grossmont College alum. She is a life-long learner and a graduate of the Leadership East County Program, the Leadership Master’s Class of 2015, and has earned certifications as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG).
Currently, Dana is the Director of Development for the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges, having served in this role for over 6 years. Prior to her position with the Colleges, Dana oversaw Community Relations and Business Development for Barona Resort & Casino and worked closely with San Diego’s East County community.
Kerri Ewing
Project Manager, Development
A graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Kerri Ewing holds a bachelor’s degree in art with an emphasis in graphic design. Starting out as a graphic designer for an ad agency, Kerri’s career evolved over the years working for different types of companies, big and small, continuously developing her skills.
Kerri has been with the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges for over 8 years. In her role as Development Manager, she manages the Foundation’s donor database, creates content and shares student stories, and manages the scholarship program which distributes over 360 scholarships to students every semester, valued at over $300,000.
Kerri received the prestigious Rising Star Award through the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations in 2017, and was a member of the 2022 class of the East Region Leadership program through the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce. She is a die-hard animal lover and currently fosters senior cats for the San Diego Humane Society.
